This team's turnovers per game is 10.0. That includes 20 against Drake which is proving to be an anomaly. In the other games we had 13, 8, 7, 6 and 6. Last year we averaged 13.1 and the year before 17.2. I remember "shoot before you turn it over" and a goal of 14 per game. This string of single digit games is, I think, amazing, even taking into account the level of competition. Moody as point has to get much of the credit, but the whole team is showing more value for the ball. A turnover is a lost opportunity and an opportunity given. This statistic could favorably influence some outcomes during the season.

I, too, have noticed a definite positive trend in Nikki's play to date. Does she still do silly things? Yep. Do we still see the occasional "Who me? What?" look after a play that didn't go according to her plan? Yep. However, as long as she continues to bring her good leadership attitude and skills to the court, I see even better days ahead for her and this team.

Glad you put that qualifier in there. I don't think we know a thing about reduction in turnovers and more valuing of possessions until we play teams who play D with more ball pressure.
Like on Thursday.
