Iowa State Cyclones
The Cyclones were 3-13 in Fred Hoiberg's first season as head coach. However, a confluence of events could make this a turnaround season for his team. Hoiberg welcomes 11 new players onto this season's roster. And he's catching the Big 12 in possibly its biggest transition year since the conference was formed in 1996 -- and I mean that in an on-the-court sense.

While Iowa State returns two starters, Scott Christopherson and Melvin Ejim, who had solid seasons a year ago, it is the transfers who sat out last season who could put the Cyclones in contention for an NCAA bid this season. There is 6-8 Minnesota transfer Royce White, and he should compete for all-conference honors. Michigan State transfer Chris Allen will pair with holdover Christopherson to provide a potent scoring punch on the perimeter. If a replacement for the departed Dionte Garrett can be found, Hilton Coliseum will be jumping again this season.

I'll trust the mods to take this down if it's illegal here...
