Uuuuuuugh you're twisting my arm to raise my expectation.
I’m telling ya, we’ve been told here and from other hawk fans. They are title contenders. Nothing less than BIG10 champs with a final four appearance is utter failure.

We'll see how Iowa does with lofty expectations. Could they win the Big 10? Sure. They haven't done it 40+ years so the idea that the Big 10 runs through Iowa City is ridiculous.

And you ran with it, didn't you? It must be tough, deciding where and how to derail, and with which program.

Right now, both your FB & MBB programs have issues. Maybe you should start touting wrestling and WBB.
Women's rowing, it's actually the backbone of the Iowa athletic program. Without it many things wouldn't be possible.

This.

The season with Georges where we were predicted to break the streak took 5 years off my life. Good luck Iowa fans. Lofty expectations in CBB makes every loss miserable

Two ways to look at it:
1.The college basketball pool seems extremely shallow this year. No loaded Kentucky team with 8 NBA lottery picks on it, no loaded Duke team, no team anywhere that jumps off the paper. THAT'S why they've got a shot.

2. 50/50 if there even is a season. Still don't play defense. Most teams that make a Final 4 run have MULTIPLE guys that make NBA rosters. Iowa apparently doesn't have any of those. And we as cyclone fans know it still takes a crap ton of luck and the tourney is a total crapshoot...and you gotta keep your star player healthy. That's a whole lot of ifs...

These lofty expectations are coming from outside the campus. That's the difference.

Hold up. Things from outside campus matter? Just not how coach ferentz hates the black folk on his team. That doesn't matter whatsoever. Can you all get me a spreadsheet that tracks your tricks and confusion.

Iowa ‘s non conference schedule is laughable give the team they return..laughable. Fran and AD knew this team would be his most talented up to 2 years ago and they did nothing to challenge them in the non conference outside of ISU.

College basketball ad a whole is far less talented than just a few years ago due to G league development and too much talent going pro.

This year will be even worse.

A lot of college b-ball this year depends upon if There’s a college football season honestly.. If fball gets cancelled there’s no way b-ball is happening. Remember then NCAA has oversight of college b-ball not so much fball.
