INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana Pacers guard Jamaal Tinsley and teammate Marquis Daniels were charged Wednesday in a Feb. 6 bar fight.
A Marion County grand jury indicted Tinsley on a felony charge of intimidation and misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and intimidation for the fight at 8 Seconds Saloon, said Matthew Symons, spokesman for the Marion County prosecutor.
Daniels was charged with battery and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors, Symons said.
Tinsley and Daniels were expected to surrender to authorities Wednesday night or early Thursday, Symons said. The Pacers play a home game Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.
A message left with a Pacers spokesman was not immediately returned Wednesday.
No one was immediately arrested or charged after the fight, which happened hours after a home loss to Golden State. Instead, a grand jury was convened to examine the evidence and decide whether charges should be filed.
The Indianapolis police report said the bar manager told officers Tinsley had threatened to kill him during the fight. The confrontation with the players followed another fight involving a person who employees thought was trying to steal coats from the coat check area, police said.
Both players have issued statements denying their involvement.

ONLY IF TRUE,
Pacers, who have had problems in past, may decide to trade Tinsley in off season. Worst, if he goes to jail, he may have lost some big bucks. Appears the law thinks he was an instigator. Bad image for David Stern to tolerate. He may have hit his high point.

Sorry to say it guys but Jamaal is a punk. I went to school with him and he was a punk then, too. It was just so easy to overlook because he played for the good guys.

I usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt...but his benefits have run out! Honestly, how hard is it to stay out of trouble? JT has been near or around trouble a lot in recent years. How is it that guys like Steve Nash and Tim Duncan stand being around so many of those idiots that play in the League? I guess the money and fame make it easier but the NBA definitely has a major image problem!

I went to school with the guy also and knew he was a punk the whole time. He would be hangin around Kum & Go at 2 in the morning with his escalade's speakers blaring.

Also when that big fight went down in Detroit I remember watching replays and you could see him grabbing a broom and start swinging it around.
