Well I'm pretty sure if something in Iowa makes national news like her shot did last night, then there is a really good chance it will get talked about a lot in her home state.

I have to admit, I read this thread and I get a good chuckle. Some of you people are absolute, world-class haters. She's a great player doing new things in the women's game. Some of you sound silly.
Nobody is saying she's not a bad athlete. In fact, many agree she is a great athlete. But her attitude comes off as very, very arrogant. She's really not a great role model for young girls with her constant whining and complaining to officials. And her stats are inflated because she shoots about 50% of the entire team's shots
The buzzer shot was a great shot. I don't think anyone will disagree with that. It's the way she acts is just sickening
I just watched the clip to see what you were talking about, but I was distracted by the early part. Her teammate passes her the ball. She takes 2 steps left, pauses, takes two more steps left and shoots. She does not dribble the ball. By my math, isn't that traveling?
Most shot attempts. She's the NCAA women's leader in shot attempts by a pretty wide margin

I thought that, too, seeing a clip of the shot while I was doing other things. But she actually did dribble the ball once. No traveling.
You're right. It's not complicated. Not sure what you are trying to prove. The data shows her numbers are inflated due to shot volume
The real discussion should be that Iowa is not nearly as good as they were last year. I could see them losing in the second round actually. MSU seems to be a team that is of the same caliber of like a 7 seed or so and it took almost a miracle for Iowa to beat them at home. That isn't a great omen if you ask me.
She's at 301 in 14 games = 21.5 spg. The Villanova guard has 259 in 13 games = 19.9 spg.
It's strange that Iowa's strategy is to get the best player in the country the most shots.
That said, this team isn't as good as last year's. They miss Czinano like crazy. They're a second weekend team but not a Final Four team.
I mean when you can hit 50% of your shots, including 40% from three, you should be taking a lot of shots. I wouldn’t call that inflation.
She tends to be 50% in contested games. The mop up games will bring her average down.
That has already been discussed. Trolls here said there would not be a drop off with the loss of Cz, when we said there would be.
There are quite a few players who make 40% from three though. How is that special?
