This from the Ames Tribune...

Zac Sandvig, a tailback in high school, is playing cornerback for ISU and also is practicing returning punts and kickoffs. (Didn't know he'd switched to defense.)

Junior-college transfer Lee Tibbs has made a good early impression and should see playing time in his first season. "He'll be pushing for a No. 1 position on the offensive line, I don't think there's any question," McCarney said. (Nice to have options there.)

I'll be very curious to see how the defense shapes up in the next 3 weeks...

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that position switches are almost never permanent. He could switch back to offense and then back to defense a couple of times before he's through.
