I can't find the answer on cyclones.com.
Will my 2-year-old need a ticket for the game Saturday?

I'm glad you asked that. I'm looking to bring my 2 year old as well, and since this is the only game we'll make it to this year I'm not sure I want to buy him a lil-clone club membership yet. I may still do that so I can take him down on to the field for the team running out though.

Here's your answer from cyclones.com

Game Day Policies</STRONG>
All customers, above the age of two years old, require a ticket for admission to Iowa State athletics events. If you wish to check the location of seats, click Jack Trice Stadium or Hilton Coliseum for facility seating diagrams. The “Will Callâ€￾ window for the general public is located in the Athletics Ticket Office, north of Gate 5 at Jack Trice Stadium for football and in the Hilton Coliseum Box Office (south of Hilton) for basketball, volleyball, wrestling and gymnastics. Tickets lost, stolen or left at home will be duplicated ONLY for the original ticket purchaser (ID required). The fee for the duplicate tickets is the full face value. If the original tickets are returned to the Athletics Ticket Office unused within the following two weeks of the game, the fee will be reimbursed. Duplicate tickets can be picked up only at “Will Callâ€￾.

I think anything over the age of 2, meaning after their second birthday are supposed to have tickets. That being said, if your kid is 2 1/2 nobody is going to ask to see his birth certificate, just say he's almost 2 or something, the guys at the gates aren't exactly Rhodes scholars.

Yah, I'm sure you can bluff the kid's age. The guys at the gate aren't going to force you to show any identification proving his/her age.

If they mean what you imply they should make it read 2 & above instead of anyone over 2yrs old.

I believe you are fine until 3 given the way it is written.

Just an FYI, little lone club members and 1 parent get to stand on the field when the team comes out this weekend.....that might be worth the 49 bucks right there....Im looking forward to it.....

2 and above and over 2 is the same thing though..You wouldn't say "people over 17 yrs old can vote", you'd say "people over 18 yrs old can vote".

Actually, I would say people under 18 can't vote or those 18 & older. I'm just saying the wording is open to interpretation.

As a former member of the media, I've been there done that. It's neat, but not something I'd pay to do again.

I think 2 year olds would be free then, in that it says "anyone above the age of 2 years old." If someone is 2 years old then that's what they are, two years old; they are not above that age until they become 3 years old. That's my take anyway... I was going to buy a ticket for the couple times our 2 year old goes but now I don't think I will need to.

What my family has done in the past is bought a hillside seat for the child in the group and he/she sat on someone's lap during the game. Shouldn't be a problem.

I just asked the ticket off this question because my son turns two next year during the season. The ticket office says that as of the child's second birthday they require a ticket to enter any athletic event. So if you child is 2 years old, then they do require a ticket.
