I thought an interesting part of that interview was that they implied that Grayer is not afraid to stick his foot up someone's a** f they need it. I think that is great, just never imagined Grayer really getting on someone.

Rather than the floor, I still believe the plan is for a statue or one of the surround roads to be named after Orr.

What do I know though.

Because the womens team plays on the same floor and they have a coach who deserves some recognition. If MBB had their own place it would be a no-brainer.

See:
"The Summitt" after Lady Vols basketball coach Pat Summitt. Men have to play on that court.

and

"Eddie Sutton Court" after Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton. Women play on that court.

I'm sure BF will be honored, and rightfully so, in due time after he retires years from now but Orr is a legend and naming the court after him would be the proper honor for him IMO.

Whatever they do, I hope they do something soon, while the man is still alive. I always hate to see it when those things are done only after someone is gone.

It's so stupid. That guy needs help.

Let's keep in mind he's the same person who think Ferentz flooded the field and all that crap. Him and CyPride are probably butt buddies. They can't just accept the fact that we got our ***** kicked that day.

The street south of Hilton NEEDS to be Johnny Orr Way. That would be a great start. I also feel that Campus and the surrounding area needs some cool Cyclone connection street names to make it more "campusy" too. Boring ones that nobody knows right now anyway.

The floor would be cool, but I'd rather have a statue right outside, or inside of Hilton. Then you could put all of what needs to be said on the plaque......"Johnny Orr, the Father of Hilton Magic." That, coupled with "Johnny Orr Way" or "Orr Ave." to the south of Hilton would be a very fitting tribute to him.

Also, that leaves the floor naming available for Fred after he racks up 500 wins or so at ISU.
