Things to do in Boone

The lodge at the bottom of the ski 'hill' isn't bad. We went there in the spring to see Larry Myer play. They just renovated it a few years ago. Not sure how crazy you guys want to get, but the lodge isn't a bad place to start.

Wow the hatin of the RR town is thick here- amazing what 12 miles will do!! Side bar, worst town by far is Oelwein, are you kidding with Keosaqua it's beautiful and besides if you like 1950 its a utopia...

With the smoking ban, if you ever drive by the bars in Boone in the daylight, you get to see what lurks inside at night. Not pretty if you like your women with teeth.

In Ames, Tradewinds use to do karaoke.

Jimmy's BBQ Pit - maybe you'll catch big-boob Becky working. Food is excellent as well.

I don't know about Becky, but Jimmy's is good. New China across the street has freaking fantastic moo goo gai pan. Colorado is good, and there's always Boone Fuente (I think it's called La Carreta or something).

Not much to do in Boone - do the kids still go around the Loop on Friday nights???

Isn't there a seven or eight story office building in downtown Boone? If so, find it, go to the top and throw snow balls down on cars. They will be like where did that come from?

The Walmart there reminds me of east side night at the State Fair. Seriously, Ames is 15 minutes.
