How will Fitch taking over the passing game affect things? That was a good point Blum brought up because no one has really talked about it. Could this be a sign that Mac expects Blythe and Co to be used even more? And what does passing coordinator mean? Maybe Fitch will revamp the passing plays but Cotton ultimately call them.

I think you have the right idea. IMO, this is a big deal. Now you have a coach directly overseeing the passing attack. Clearly by giving it more attention they plan to use it more. Cotton will focus on the beef of the O and Fitch with the skill and finesse.

So will it still break down to Cotton calling all the Offensive plays or do Fitch & Cotton collaborate and decide if its going to be a passing or running situation & if its passing does Fitch call the play? Seems complicated!

Isn't Fitch & Cotton the store that sells worn out baseball caps for $50 each?

I think Cotton will still call all the plays...yet Fitch will now have a significant influence when dealing with our passing plays. Maybe not as much as calling them...but designing and suggesting when to use them.

No disrespect to Toledo but rushing for 220 yards per game against the likes of Akron, Ball State, Northern Ill, Eastern Mich, Kent State, Central Mich, ETC., isn't the same as the Big 12. Need to also consider the loss of their starting tail back from last year.

Don't get me wrong, I am very concerned about this game. They are a quality football team with a lot of talent coming back. I just believe that this is our game to loose.

Exactly.

While they had a nice record and great stats last year...they really didn't have any quality wins.

Fun article to read and he makes a lot of good points. However, I think "Packed Jack" needs to be a higher priority. But not only a Packed Jack, a rowdy and audacious crowd throughout the entire game!!
