At least it's not "The Phantom Menace" or "Attack of the Clones." Im very interested to see who he brings in as the villian. There are still a few possibilities that would keep it in the "real world." Dr Hugo Strange or maybe Hush. A lot of characters that are left are more in the sci-fi/comic book realm.

I'm also very excited to see what he does w/ Superman after he gets done with this.

A hot catwoman works for me. The penguin could be great with the right guy. I'm not a huge batman fan though. I thought the last one was overrated. Very good, of course.

Ummm....isn't the title a total giveaway as to who the villian is going to be?

I just don't see anything interesting they could do with Catwoman.

Agree. Yeah, they can do the whole she's super sexy so Batman can't concentrate on kicking her *** bit, but that isn't all that interesting.

I thought I remember them already ruling out Mr. Freeze too. I don't understand why they don't want to go with the Riddler. Penguin would be good if they could revive Burgess Meredith.

I could see Penguin being an interesting side character, but not necessarily the main villian. The way the last one ended, you have to figure that the beginning of this movie will involve a lot of Batman being portrayed as a criminal and working with contacts in the underworld. I could see the Penguin filling that role very well, but I don't think he has enough oomph to be the center of the story.

I'm with ya there too. Heath Ledger as the Joker set the bar pretty high. It'll be hard to top that.

Since it is the last one, have it follow Dark Knight Returns (sans Two-Face and Joker of course). Have Batman retired. The Mutant gang rises up but put somebody as the leader, like Zsasz.

Some casting notes could also throw some light on who the villian will be. Warner Borthers announced that Tom Hardy (Eames in Inception) would join the cast after he finishes work on Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. They wouldn't wether or not he would play the villian, which led some to guess hey was going to play Harvey Bullock:eek: or that Nolan might go with Black Mask, which I could definitely see him playing.

Oh for crying out loud! 2 more Avatar movies?? How many 3 hours movies can you make of blue people ******* birds with their tails? Most overrated movie of all time in my mind.

Well, Disney's Pocahontas did have a sequel, so it's not as if James Cameron doesn't have plenty of "rip-off fodder" to work with...

This series has always been planned to be a triology... I wanna say one of them is supposed to be a prequil, but I haven't really followed it all that closely

And I agree the movie is a bit over rated. The world that was created was pretty incredible on the big screen in 3D, but the story line was not epic by any means
