CycloneErik arm wrestles for coupons on the weekends there aren't home football games.

Looks like MO is waiting for second round of turndown from Big ten and a turndown letter from SEC. Then they will have been chizslacked. They then have reviewed their options. Being one school, their options will be......loud drum roll please.....the BE or the MWC!

No meeting set for discussion on Big 12 move | TCU 360 - with news and sports from the TCU Daily Skiff, TCU News Now and Image magazine

There were no meetings scheduled for Friday to discuss the offer to join the Big 12 conference, according to a TCU spokesperson.

TCU Director of Communications Lisa Albert said in an email there was no board meeting scheduled for today.

“We are in discussions with the Big 12 and the board will meet in the future to discuss details, but that has not been set yet,” Albert said.

Chancellor Victor Boschini said he had “nothing to say” concerning the Big 12 or a trustee meeting.

Director of Athletics Media Relations Mark Cohen said in an email there was “nothing to report” as of Friday afternoon.

A 10-team league isn't a final destination. More of a place to tap breaks when/if Mizzou decides. TV/Money input becomes important then.

After talking to 2 more Big 12 folks: They're going to wait for Missouri decision. Decide then where to go from 9/10. BYU/LVille/WVU in play

Educated guess: SEC presidents will meet this weekend to vote on Mizzou. Tigers will be in the SEC by Monday ... or "committed to" B12.

Texas agreeing to TCU in the B12 a major concession to rest of league by allowing everyone to recruit DFW even more.

Thoughts...

1. BYU, West Virginia, and Louisville keep popping up everywhere...I think the league is starting to get schools in order if they decide to go past 10...sounds like nobody knows if they'll stay at 10 or not though...

2. I'm surprised Wilner threw out a Monday guess on a decision by Mizzou. He's making it sound like SEC will vote this weekend on Mizzou to let them know if they make the cut or go with West Virginia instead.

3. I don't think the B12 could've got a better commish than Nienas

4. What does Chip Brown's tweet about DFW recruiting mean? I don't understand how allowing TCU into the B12 really is that big of deal to Texas recruiting. Besides, Texas gets first pick of all the recruits anyways so its not like allowing TCU in really hurts them.

yeah, i've never gotten that before either. Texas is always going to get #1 shot at all texas recruits. Bringing in TCU isnt going to change that. The ones who would be hurt more would be other conference members who recruit texas, who would be hurt by TCU's raised profile. Plus Texas gets another guaranteed game in the state of texas (if you look at their scheduling they dont have many games outside of texas it seems).

It may not hurt us as much (TCU probably was already beating us) but it may hurt those a bit higher up the recruiting totem pole.

If anything texas should be the ones pulling for TCU and everyone else should be saying no.

TCU is a double edged sword recruiting wise. We get more competition for Texas recruits, but we get more Texas exposure too.

Adding TCU doesn't really hurt our recruiting. They were already recruiting at a BCS AQ level already, so it shouldn't hurt much. What does not make sense is to bring in a school like Tulane or other CUSA/MWC team, who has not been drawing from the pool of kids capable of playing BCS football, and give them another place to go.

If Mizzou somehow thought they could force the Big 10's hand by an SEC threat to move, that 1% chance is now out the window...

Big Ten commissioner: Expansion not on radar – USATODAY.com

My sister is a Mizzou alum (the black sheep of the family). She lives in KC and told me today that every one of her Mizzou friends wants to stay in the B12. She wonders WTF are they thinking in Columbia.

I always thought she was smart, but then she married a K-State guy...
