What if the remaining schools, stay in the Big 12, and try and get others to join, poaching from the Big East, and MWC.

This twelve would command national attention in hoops. It also would be a strong football conference!?! Not what we had, but still several recent BCS Bowl teams. I hope they are thinking of this, as at least we do not seem like the orphan, and it allows the remaining big 12 teams to dictate what is happening vs. being reactionary.

I would as well. I would rather pick and choose schools from the Mountain West than just inviting the whole conference. No offense to Wyoming but I would rather have a school like Louisville than them.

Totally agreed. Wyoming as a half millions roughly in the state. CSU is and probably will always be the red headed step child in the state to CU. Airforce could become independent. BUT, Utah, TCU, and BYU are pretty strong programs and have strong fanbases that will improve with the addition of more solid competition.
