Additionally, because it will be the new, hot place, there will be lots of parties. Which means that there will be lots of parties getting busted. Look for extra patrol there in the fall and don't say I didn't warn you.

I doubt this.... Due to its location. You put in around campustown or greekland then I'd agree. But besides may after football games, it's very doubtful that loads of people will walk all the way over to South 16th.

To live anywhere but a rundown apartment house in college is living too expensively. Plus, you can tear the ***** out of the place while living there, clean up enough before moving out and make it look basically the same as when you moved in = full deposit return.

Winner, why shell out money for a new place. Get a shadier place and have fun.

I don't know how long you have been around Ames, but the Grove is similar to what was originally Sterling University out west at the end of Mortensen. Same thing happened there and it is a pretty long walk from Campustown.

But when theres maybe one drunk bus going that way on the weekends, i hardly think it will become the new party spot. Legacy/cyclone plaza/brickstone will always be the hot spots to party.

Exactly, my rent in college 02-06 was $250/month that included split of utilities and internet.

This. We lived in two ****-hole houses and made a mess of them. Never got a deposit back, but one was because one of my roommates moved out two weeks late when the next tenants were trying to move in, and the other was because my other roommates punched holes in the wall because they were ****** off about losing monopoly or something like that.

I inquired about this place and found out that it will be $460 a person for a three bedroom and $505 per person for the two bedroom...these are on special right now.

I have to work on the weekends especially mornings and the above reason is keeping me from signing up. I'm not a party pooper but when I have to work in the morning I'm not all that happy with a bunch of noise and parties.

False. Sounds like a party pooper to me.

Drove by and they are well on their way. I've heard 500 beds in this complex, which is a bunch of smaller buildings and I'm guessing one bigger clubhouse/community center. This and the new apartment building next door are going to dramatically increase traffic on S. 16th. They should probably think about making it 4-lane all the way from Duff to University. And for God's sake pave that little stretch going eastbound that forces traffic from 2 lanes to 1 and then back to 2. I will say that this should help spur development on S.16th and probably speed up the Grand extention timeline. It will probably also help the golf course there stay in business.
