The bright side is that this team is capable of playing with Oklahoma, the #1 team in the country, on the road.

And that the team's main problems are all very fixable: defend screens better, improve defensive rotations and positioning, and block out.

The only thing on offense we need to fix is to make a rule that Nader is not allowed to shoot a 3 the first time he touches it in 99.99% of possessions. Fun fact: amongst the top 25 players in the Big 12 in 3 pt shots attempted, Nader is dead last in 3 pt %. Only 2 players in the top 50 are worse.

We are gonna miss Niang big time.. Offensive talent like that at ISU does not come along that often.
Nader/Mckay can be replaced, but Niang will be a big, big void.

Hopefully Malou gets on campus, just afraid peoples expectations of him are gonna be unreasonable given that NBA scouts are looking at him.

I do think Prohm will always have strong guard play while he is here, so there is that.

I'm not so sure. Keep in mind that I've been washing dishes more than watching the games (superstition, one of our comeback wins happened while I was washing dishes) but the bits of our games I have seen, it seems like McKay is getting a lot more feeds than Georges. It feels like Georges only shots after he gets tired of watching everyone else miss their shots, and he decides to take over a possession or two.

Maybe they can get back to having fun and playing good, smart basketball. Right now, I don't recognize this team. A lot of anxiety on the court.

This is my biggest concern. If they were playing well together, still smiling, but lost to Texas in OT... ok it happens. But they are not. No one looks like they are having any fun at all, even when they are playing well.

IDK if there are chemistry/personal issues, or if they don't like Prohm, or if they are just frustrated they aren't playing as well as they have in the past. But whatever it is, they need to get THAT fixed asap. They look miserable on the court, and that could lead to totally tanking the whole season.

In other words...effort on this end of the court.

We are 2 shots from 10-6. Stop with this stupid crap. Just like football when people were justifying losing.
We had 5 games go down to the last shot...we are 2-3. Of our losses, the only one that did not go down to the wire was Baylor at home. So we could have lost two more, or won three more...take your pick. I think the bigger point is that we have only played one complete game all year...........a loss at Oklahoma. UNI is a bad loss, so is Texas and Baylor at home....to some extent. I don't think we have played up to expectation all year, except maybe at OU. Maybe the expectation was too high for this team. I do think we really miss Naz (proven clutch shooter) and another big man ...which we just don't have.

Not to the committee.
