Oklahoma wasn't a top-tier Big 12 team last year.

Texas hasn't been in ~15 years.

I seem to remember TCU was playing in the national title game not too long ago, not Michigan or a second SEC team. Yeah, Georgia murdered them, but Georgia is murdering everybody.

Non Ohio State Big Ten has more to prove than top Big 12 teams do.

Give me TCU, Baylor and OK State over the past 15 years easily over non buckeye Big Ten.

They’ve had more money for a while now. It’s not new.

And then ESPN will spin this into " The top Big XII teams are only middle of the pack SEC teams".
Texas and Oklahoma are a combined 2 games over .500 in Big 12 play the last two years. They are currently middle of the pack Big 12 teams.

I think they will be OK this year, but I think they have two of the worst coaches in the league.

But they will struggle in the SEC, and there will be a lot of truth that they can’t compete with the top dogs of the SEC. Then again only Clemson and Ohio State have been able to.

Then again, we have ISU and Big 12 fans repeat the false statement that moving to the Big 10 hurt Nebraska when their SOS dropped recruiting maintained to improved until the last couple of years. So make more money, recruit better, play in the worst or second worst P5 division every year since its existence. The Big 10 move was great for Nebraska. The move was simply overwhelmed by a bad coaching hire followed by a disasterous one.

I don’t hate the SEC like most. I enjoy watching their football games. So much talent. I hope they crush OU and Texas. I hope they become Nebraska.
Agree. People love to hate the SEC but they have some amazing games each year. I'm a fan of all college football and the SEC plays some damn fine football. Yes, they have some cupcakes, but overall they're fun to watch.

It's not their football I find off-putting.

I think OU and Texa$ are going to do just fine in the SEC. It's not like either school EVER hurts for finding the tippity-top Texas Athlete talent. Both schools have been cheating and paying players for decades as well too. Their leadership knows how to play this type of game. As long as they have good in-game coaching, they'll be near the top in the SEC more often than not.

Not at all like how Nebraska screwed themselves in the recruitment department. Coaching is everything at this level. The problem with Nebby is that they have hired ****** coaches in the last decade. Plain and simple.

I'm actually quite happy that ISU is dropping typically two automatic losses that we've had to these really tough schools. Sure, we have been competitive with them since Campbell took over, but I think things got a little easier for us and we need to step up with more overall wins in the next 5-10 years now. Pollsters and media are just stupid for overall wins.

OU fans think all their conference games will be night games in the SEC. Last season, Tennessee and LSU, a T25 matchup between two massive fan bases that bring in eyeballs, was at 11 AM. No one is invincible from those kick times
Would be a real shame if half of those are 11am kickoffs

Yep this was all OU needed. An average defense in 2017 gets them a natty
I know it's just about money now, I just believe their path was easier to chase a title in the B12. All they needed was an average defense during the playoff era and they could have won some nattys.
