Technical help! HD DVR to DVD Recorder help...

I'm not typically electronically handicapped, but I can't seem to figure out how to set my DVD recorder up to my DVR. I had my old DVR set up to my dvd recorder with no issues. And I thought I had the new one set up the same way. But, it doesn't work. Any ideas? Do I need new cables? Thanks in advance...

Err...what reciever do you have?

I know the DirecTV model I had was not able to output thru the USB connection. Some providers are getting touchy about what they'll let you off-load.

I'm not even sure? It doesn't even have a model name that I can see. All it says is Directv on it. I hate to do it, but I think I'm going to have to consult the dreaded manual... :no:
