Team PrISUm - 2014 American Solar Challenge

The ISU club is one of the college teams to design, build and drive solar powered cars from Austin, Texas to Minneapolis, Minn. We went to Omaha Friday evening to see this. - interesting and worthwhile. I wouldn't drive one to work, but some of the technology may find its way into the marketplace. They go through Ames this afternoon. Alumni ***. reports they'll gather in the D2 parking lot north of Jack Trice Stadium. Go State!

They stopped overnight Thursday night in our parking lot at work. Got a chance to look all of them over and talked to some of the crew. They were very happy to answer any questions. There is a lot more that goes into into this competition than one might imagine. One thing I learned was that only the top ten competitors after two previous stages are allowed to compete in the cross country race. When they left Overland Park on Friday, the PrISUm team was in third overall behind Michigan and Minnesota.
