25 yards and player gets to stay in the game. Kicking someone out is way to harsh.

That was textbook targeting as the rule is now. Sucks though because it didn’t appear intentional; more incidental.
As Chris Spielman would say, see what you are hitting. If he's got his head up, he avoids the targeting call.

Ironic that the same play happened against K-State a few weeks ago, yet it wasn’t targeting. The rule needs to be cleaned up. Too much left up to the officials
It sucks, but that's all on Harvey. The QB was already wrapped up before he left his feet. In that situation, you do what ever you need, to avoid hitting him.
That's the point. They're trying to remove the natural technique of lowering your head. Keep your head up and you won't hit him with the crown.

The problem isn't the penalty, it's the fact that it's so vague.
Ridiculous call, the fact that announcers were calling for it on the hit out of bounds is stupid.
2 guys tossed? to one of the least penalized teams in the country? this is ******* stupid.
based on announcers, there should be 3 guys tossed at this point...
