Never want to see an injury obviously but two years of Casey at 149/157 is probably better for him long term.

Short term this totally stinks, long term could be for the best (the redshirt, not the injury part).

Was supposed to has dealt with some injuries for 2 years. The plan was to redshirt and get healthy but then that changed

And now you have to really wonder if a fully healthy Casey is ever going to be a possibility. Seems unlikely to me.

Yes he’s got the knee now, but I’d argue this makes it more likely. Forced to be on the shelf for a year, so any other nagging thing can/should be able to heal up while working back.

And of course this could end up as a medical redshirt year for him, so a regular redshirt at some point can still happen.
