I one thing I noticed over the weekend...

Before practice facility-Once practice was over, a few players would stick around and get up extra shots, but for the most part players would scatter.

With practice facility - Players/staff/recruits all stuck around, shot around, and hungout a couple hours after practice.

Sukup would never pay their employees a fair wage but they can give ISU a check. That will go over well in Sheffield Iowa

Do you have a reason for this statement? Just wondering. I've never heard anything bad about Sukup.

I've noticed there seems to always be cars at the facility, no matter what weird times i drive by it.

if they are so miserable, why don't they get a job somewhere else? One thing that will never change about the employee/owner relationship is that the employee will always claim to be underpaid.

I've met Steve and he seems like a good guy. I used to build Sukup grain bins for several years and it was an excellent product. I was pretty fired up to see him on the field on Saturday.

As far as not paying his employees enough, working in a factory just doesn't net the kind of pay it used to. Sheffield would be a ghost town without the factory up there.

I agree with you.

On a side note I feel I'm underpaid and I bet a majority of the people on this board do too.

+1.

Throw in you can buy a house in Sheffield for 1/2 what it costs in most cities and your overall net isn't that bad.

I enjoyed this quote: “Iowa State athletics has been a great source of pride and enjoyment for our family,” Steve Sukup said.

Iowa State athletics has been a source of embarrassment and pain for my family.

I'll still always bleed Cardinal & Gold! Clone to the bone! Go Cyclones!

This is huge. Not just for extra practice, but for chemistry.

The whole area in SW Ames has really become awesome. Can the players live out there or do they still live in places like Larch?
