Every day, it just gets harder to continue, doesn't it?

From the realignment bullcrap, where a school like ISU that is rich in all of the things an athletic conference should be looking for sitting in limbo to find out if it continues at the level it has been for nearly a century, all because we don't have the football footprint it will take to bring more money to a non-profit organization.

To institutions like tOSU and Auburn that were found to be guilty of gross misconduct and violations being slapped on the wrist because the NCAA is scared of the big programs deciding they don't need it anymore.

To the reports of Miami doing more illegal business for their athletes than the mob does for someone with an i at the end of their name, and the NCAA showing no interest (yet).

Now we have bowl games giving money to political candidates, and in some cases being well aware that what they were doing was illegal and taking steps to prevent it from being found out. In this case, we have, as our only explination, "it's an emberasment." Which one, that you did it, or that you got caught?

I just don't know if I can do it any longer. I don't know if I can pretend that I'm not disgusted by the entire process and culture of college athletics, specifically in football. I love the cyclones, I love them with all of my heart. I've only missed one home football game in the last 26 years, and that was because the kickoff time got moved after my sister had planned her wedding around me not missing.

I'm torn. I'm part of the problem. I want this all to stop, but I keep dumping money into the sarlac pit of the NCAA with every ticket I buy and every game I watch. Every minute I spend on this cartel feeds their continuing existance.

In other news, the sky is falling, had you heard?
