For football, the students in the lower level need to maximize the potential of foot-stomping. Ben Bruns has talked about how they built the lower level out of metal with a view toward how loud it could be. Yet, so far, we have only had a minimum of foot-stomping. If the students get with it, then maybe the big donors in the Sukup Endzone section the the public in the SW corner will do so to.

This is going to be very strategic when we get another overtime or need a huge defensive stand on that end.

No. They don't have to schedule them because there are enough natural breaks, like after touchdowns, field goals, changes of possession, quarter breaks, or down time during reviews or injuries.
Back when I watched the nfl regularly, I was watching a game that had a delayed start due to a game that ran long. Was nearly the end of the 1st quarter by the time it finally was broadcast. Went like this. Touchdown, commercial, kickoff, commercial, end of quarter, commercial. It was about 20 minutes and one play was run. I would have been pissed if I was at that game. **** natural breaks and just have a commercial at the mid point of every quarter also between quarters.

No argument here, but when football is the singular TV event that draws massive ratings, and broadcast rights continue to skyrocket, they're not going to give up any opportunity to earn revenue, fans in the stands be damned.

The PA and jumbotron programs need to do more to get the crowd involved too. There were to many times during TOs where the stadium was quiet and the jumbotron was just showing the moving I state logo. Need to figure out something more than just a periodic cyclone power chant.
On that note, can we kill the cyclone power chant? Everyone just sounds absolutely miserable when they do it.
