I'm trying to think of the best course I took. I think it had to be a May term course called "outdoor rec" where the final was a 5 day trip down the Bufallo River in AK. First night there was 5 inches of rain and the instructor decided we would be better off to stay in state parks instead of floating.
It ended up being a 5 day party. AWESOME! and we all got A's. Last college course I ever took.

Beer and Society. Not as easy or fun as it sounds, but a good course nonetheless. Learned how to homebrew, the history of beer, and beer's shifting role in society. My group made the best beer, a Belgian wheat, and I still failed to get an A.

I had a roommate who took a class in the Sociology Dept called "Courtship and Marriage"...

Anybody know if it's still offered at ISU ?

It was always fun to look at some of the temporary or experimental classes they would have posting. I think I remember seeing some sort of Star Wars class posted at one time...

The Honors program at ISU offers some interesting seminars at times. Tolkien's Mythology is pretty popular - we read the entire Silmarillion and some of the Unfinished Tales.

Wow, 3 of these are at Cal-Berkeley and a few others in the U of C system...and not really surprised that Columbia College in Chicago had one. :)

We called it Woo & Screw when I took it in the '70's.

My son is taking an AM class at UNI this term affectionately know as "Porn in the Morn". I don't know what the actual title is, but he never misses it!:biglaugh::biglaugh:

I knew about the Philosophy of the Simpsons one.

I know a few guys who could teach the Starcraft one...

Really surprised a class about studying WoW isn't up there
