Anyone else really tired of this guy? I listened to some of his comments lately and he just seems like an GQ A$$ to me for some reason. I Just think he is one of those guys that would throw his own mom under a bus if he had to.
I am really disappointed in the North not winning this year so we could start the turn this South Domination thing around in football.

I hate Stoops. He tried to run the score up on us last year keeping Adrian in late....but at least Justice was served when Adrian seperated his shoulder flipping into the endzone.

personally im glad oklahoma won yesterday. I do like them but when a recruit is choosing where he wants to play do we really want them choosing missouri. its not usually between isu and oklahoma (except joe king) but it is between isu, kansas, missouri, kansas st and so on. I dont want missouri good at all. they take recruits away from us. The scenario i wanted happend in that missouri would beat kansas so they wouldnt be undefeated and then missouri to loose in the title game. they are our competitors who we will be recruiting against.

Anyone see these new names we are recruiting. Like 3 new 3* running backs. Some d tackles, 3 more kickers (still havent seen the mississippi guy yet) you should check out the database. New offensive lineman and so on

Is that why the Squawks were so desperate to get him...? Sounds like he would have fit in quite well with the masses down there. :nah:

Stoops is not my favorite either. He bends things in every which way to get advantage of the littlest item. Mac Brown is much better in my eyes.

If you guys don't remember 4 years ago - the year before Mack Brown and VY won the title... Brown lobbied HARD saying it was an injustice if his Texas team didn't get to go to a BCS game, blah blah blah, so the last weekend, the voters bumped Texas over Cal and Texas got to go to the Rose Bowl against Michigan, and Cal went to the HOliday Bowl, all bummed and mentally not ready and got blown out by Texas Tech...
Seeing as a 2 loss team is playing for the national title in a month, I have no problem seeing Stoops, or Richt (who lobbied DURING the MU-OU game), Carrol, or Miles stating their teams' case...
I honestly think Stoops is a great coach, a great recruiter, and he does a lot of good for our conference.

I think the real reason you (and many others) are tired of him is that he is kicking *** and taking names...5 Big 12 Titles, 1 National Title, 96-21 overall and 59-12 in conference (in 9 years as Head Coach at OU)...say what you will about him but the man knows how to win football games.

For those that think it is as easy as just getting the footballs to the field to win at OU...remember that his predecessor was 12-22 in the three years prior to his hiring by OU and OU was only 61-50-3 in the 10 years prior to Stoops. Personally, I think he is a tremendous recruiter and coach. Frankly, I hope Chizik is the second coming of Stoops!

By the way...he is more a Spurrier prodigy than a Fry prodigy.

Exactly...if he was doing it at ISU, I don't think you would hate him. He is one hell of a coach. Hopefully Chizik can be even half of what Stoops is.

I'd like to see his D Coordinator get leveled by a linebacker. That guy pisses me off just looking at him.
