Anyone else make it out to see the corpse flower out at Reiman Gardens? It’s definitely one of the weirder things I’ve done in my life. But it definitely puts off a Hawkeye locker room smell.

Will it still be going tomorrow?
They said it usually blooms for 24-48 hours so tommorow should be good. Place was packed. Got there about 840 and stood in line until about 915. When we left the line was longer than when we started and people were still walking in.

Went this morning got there a little before 7 probably a couple hundred people ahead of me. Stink Floyd is a big plant. Smell isn't that bad. Line was a few hundred people long when I left at 745. The lady next to me in line was a hoot to visit with.

Went late last night, was about 45 minute wait. Supposedly stinkier cause they turned the vents off after dark. Cool to experience, wasn’t terrible until I was right by it and then a huge waft of stink hit me and I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to smell that constantly. Whatever college student has been running their social media has been doing a hell of a job.

Yep calling it stink Floyd Pink Floyd music over the speakers it's a fun experience. I guess they are even selling shirts but sold out and are reordering.

Didn't realize they open that early. Normally they don't open till 10 I thought.

Yeah they opened early just to let more people be able to see it and spread the crowds out.
It blooms every 5 to 7 yrs(?) so not totally rare but still a unique experience.

It's a big enough crowd they have a designated picture taking person there so you can get your selfie, like the AD did with the pop tart bowl trophy

In line now. Started right at the end of the sidewalk by the campanile sculpture. I'm betting on a 1:45-2hr wait time. Beautiful weather for a day at Reiman Gardens though.

All these loyal folks getting there early to see the notorious plant.... and not a single picture. Just sayin.
