From what we have heard so far, Sam Richardson is more of a pass first QB but he does have some mobility. I think he will be mobile enough to run the Read Option some, but not a game breaking runner.
Rhoads said something along the lines of he doesn't look athletic when he runs but he is effective. On his high school highlight tapes he could run the zone read really well and was outrunning a lot of defenders. I think he is kind of like an Arnaud type runner. Not the fastest but can be effective and improvise when needed.
Rohach will have a shot as well I think. He's probably a bit more athletic than Richardson, but smaller.
I think it will be a three man race. It does sound though like Richardson is a more natural thrower than Barnett. I think Rhoads said something along those lines and so did Arnaud.
INSIDE SCOOP! They are still getting the last of the eligibility issues worked out but if they do Coach Rhoads is planning to start his long lost distant cousin at QB.
