Same old song and dance. 'Twill make it all the sweeter when we win 7 games this year.

Low expectations and bulletin board fodder are always welcome.

I'm usually a pessimist, but I find this prediction for Iowa State a little over the top. I see six beatable big twelve teams on our schedule. Don't tell me we don't stand a chance against:

KSU
OSU
(k)NU
CU
aTm
Baylor

Wasn't it Dodd that said somthing like ISU could not do any better then McCarney? I thought Dodd was a pretty open McCarney supporter. So I too take that article with a grain of salt.

dodd is very big on the SEC (partial to LSU) so i'm suprised he could even name all the schools in the Big 12 ... yet alone write something about them ...

Dennis Dodd is a complete and total idiot, and it's not just because I disagree with about 95% of his articles. He's just a lazy, horribly incompetent journalist.

This is setting up perfectly for Chizik to get AP coach of the year! Now all we have to do is actually prove people wrong!

Is he saying winless overall? Or winless in conference?

If it's just conference - he's right, a case CAN be made. I don't think it's going to be true. But there certainly are no pre-written W's on the conf slate right now. Our best chances for wins are on the road for the most part. The tougher opponents are at home.

I think we'll win 3 or 4 in non-conf, and 1 or 2 in conf play. Maybe a surprise along the way, but overall I expect 4-6 wins. Key to the season will be like last year - get some younger players alot of time and experience, and be playing significantly better ball in Nov, than we are in Aug.

Sleep, creep, leap.

Noticed that even kNu and Marlon Lucky did not get a pick for the all star team. Another fellow looking thru rose colored glasses.
