Source: K.J. Bluford is transferring

At least if we don't sign Vaughn we might be able to land another good transfer or juco player with the extra scholarship.

True, but Amardi sure looked impressive in person and we knew all along that we had much less depth at forward than we did at shooting guard.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love to have Amardi.

Not shocked. Everyone thought he would be playing more. At least we can now sign Vaughn and Cunningham instead f one over the other.

LOL like Fred wouldn't have found room for both of them. Fred's going to bring in the guys he wants each year and then worry about making room for them, and I love this strategy. It's what you have to do to become an elite program.

Actually I don't think he would have. That's why we haven't heard a lick on Cunningham for awhile now.

We would find room for both prior to this. You're kidding yourself if you think that's why we haven't heard from Cunningham yet.

Realistically, Fred was probably thinking RV + a transfer -or- Cunningham

Now he's probably thinking RV + Cunningham + a transfer

I really thought Bluford was going to play important minutes in some game this year when we had foul trouble or something. Dude can shoot it. But tough to play when you have 3 SG's in front of you in MT, Naz, and SDW, not to mention Kane sees some time there.

Actually I'm not. The Amardi/Kane situation is not the same as the Cunningham/??? situation. Amardi never played on the team. He never sat on the bench. He never contributed in practice. He never studied film. He never went to classes on the ISU campus.

did Hoiberg choose Kane over Amardi? Yes, but he did so to benefit the team while still giving Amardi a chance.

He would never have kicked Gibson or Bluford off the team for Cunningham. I'm a firm believer in that.

He is horrible. He is not that great of a shooter, he just chucks them up the whole time.
Thats a result of limited minutes. When I watched Naz last year they seemed fairly similar. While I don't think he would have been successful here because we have plenty of other SGs if he gets in the right situation he will be pretty good. You have to look at it this way they are given a few minutes here and there and they want to prove they deserve more minutes.

So you think it's just a coincidence that the guys at the end of the bench have decided to transfer away at the end of each season under Fred?

That's funny, because at the end of the first half of the George Mason game, Fred had him in for the final offensive possession. He clearly thinks he's a great shooter if he had him in during that situation.

So you believe Okoro was shown the door? What about Bluford, was he shown the door during the middle of the season? I believe they all had their reasons. There will always be attrition with every team. So I guess my answer is yes/no.

Unfortunate for KJ, but the fit just wasn't good. On a team that ranks at the top of the nation in assists, KJ was a black hole. He seemed to be a shoot first/pass second kind of player.

Percy and kj on the same 2 on 2 team would be hilarious to watch. 2 black holes

Best of luck KJ. Sad to see ya go but also don't blame you. I hope you find a new home where you can showcase your shooting abilities
