Hi everyone - I'm bringing my son to his first game Saturday. I'm really pumped but also want him to enjoy it as much as possible. Any tips for making the game day experience go well? He's 3.5. I thought at one point there was a kid's zone for pre-game? Any other fun things we should do? He may be a bit young for the spirit walk? I plan to bring some water bottles, snacks, etc. and we do have a pretty good parking pass.
What time is the step show? Is that the Marching Band?
This is pretty much my rule for any activity that I love that I also want my almost 5 year to enjoy. Right now that's fishing and that generally means leaving all my own expectations behind and I'm better off not bringing any gear for myself. We may not catch a fish, but if he has fun being by the water, picking up worms, casting, etc. then it's a win.Doing the same thing with my 6 year old. We're taking bags and stuff to play at the tailgate, plus a bunch of his favorite stuff to make on the grill. My rule going in is we get to do whatever he wants to do the whole time we're there, all the way up to and including leaving the game at any point if he decides it's time.
For sure, I don't even take a fishing pole when we do that anymore either. Spend more time catching frogs and getting muddy anyways, and honestly, I've found that I enjoy it just as much from seeing the kids have so much fun. This is pretty much my rule for any activity that I love that I also want my almost 5 year to enjoy. I'd say it's the same way for a little one at the game. Wants to go on the hillside and watch the band all game? Great, go do it. Walk around the concourse in be in the masses, perfect. And of course a snowcone, candy, etc. always works to keep them in one spot to catch some of the game actiona! As long as they leave having had a great time, they'll want to come back and eventually they'll grow to be locked in on the game!

That seems like the generally accepted opinion, but it seems like there might be a story here?(Except for Dekkers, he was an ass).
My parents had season tickets in the early to mid 90s. My mom would go to the early season games and then later in the season I would take her ticket. My only motivation the entire time I was there was to not freeze my ass off. I didn’t know football was also played in warm weather until I was much older.Dont be suprised when he is happier about the band than the football. The football will come. Both my kids had no interest in the football and just wanted to watch the band and Cy
