if my football tickets/seats were at Utah they would cost $940 a season. At ISU ( in the Big 12) i pay $3500. Bring on the MWC.

Utah Home Games: Pittsburgh, UNLV, San Jose State, Colorado State, TCU, BYU

Iowa State Home Games: Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Texas Tech, Utah, Kansas, Nebraska, Mizzou

I think you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately, overall revenue would be down for Iowa State in the MWC and travel expenses would be up. No matter what happens, we as Cyclone fans need to support our individual sports, the Cyclone Club, and our Athletic Department at the current level we are supporting them now. Even more. Remember, Iowa State is the victim in this whole thing. Clone to the Bone!!! I will support Iowa State with everything I have until I die.

Not that I agree with the op and although there is one less home game, that is a fairly solid schedule... Pitt (top 20), UNLV (who we have hosted) TCU and BYU (both top 20 teams)

Do you think that the MWC schools are *****ing themselves over these theories? Do they even have message boards? We'd go from the plain Jane of the group to the chick with the best rack.

Unfortunately, a fair portion of the guys in the group will have buck teeth and mullets.

I honestly doubt that most of the MWC schools think any more highly of us, than we do of them.

However, if we, KU and KSU made the move and were able to secure a BCS label.... I'm sure they'd be pumped. That goes without saying.

Trust me, for sure Utah & BYU would kill to get in a conference with the remnants of the Big 12 if it happens. Straight from Morman Sportstalk Radio my friend ;)

I'm sure... but I don't think we suddenly become the girl with the curl.

More level playing field for certain.

When did it come out the hawks would be joining this group?

I'm not sure they're even cool enough to hang out with the buck-tooth mullet crowd. Maybe they could make it in to the 'we only have 50 people at a basketball game' crowd or the 'my parents won't let me borrow the minivan to drive to the party' crowd. Maybe.

Completely agree we need to be all in. If the Big XII goes down the tubes the MWC would be our best possible destination. I think right now the MWC has 9 schools and are adding Boise State to bring it to 10. Adding ISU, KSU, KU and maybe TCU or Houston you have a 14 school conference with a very good shot at being a BCS conference. There are too many people on here calling for gloom and doom - when there are changes there are opportunities.
