So are we better?

Last year I came to tears after seeing us actually run an offense. Now I see nothing. We have no system that I can see. Too many new guys or what? We are standing around just like the Wayne Morgan teams. Cory Johnson needs more minutes because Thompson is just clueless out there. He is just a scrappy player that provides a lift most times and Thompson looks lost. Hopefully we can get healthy and get some chemistry going or we will have a long year.

Tough to judge without Wes in the lineup. He's a big difference maker out there.

Our team isn't good.....I don't see any improvement. I'm still not sold on Gmac.

His next couple recruiting classes will be key. He absolutely needs to find some better guards. Hopefully Buckley and Eikmeier will be the ones. We've had a revolving door at the guard position going back to Morgan's last year. Look at all the guys who've left (Carr, Degand, Dunston, Taylor, McIntosh and now Brister).

Me neither. Not saying all won't turn out well as this is only year two, but I can only give him a C+/B- based on what we've seen so far. His biggest accomplishment at this point is signing Brackins, in my opinion. Convincing Hubalek to play in the post last year rather than jacking threes left and right was a good thing, but it took WAY too long.

What will it take to get you sold on him. He hasnt even coached 50 games at ISU and already you doubt him. This is his first true class of players and 4 games in you judge them. They had to start all over player wise, give it time before you call for his head.

I am not "sold" on McD either, BUT I am not ready to write him off either. I have hope, but it is a cautious hope.

HAHAHA, this might be the funniest post of the night. It took Greg WAY to long to get Jiri to play in the post huh??? WOW! Jiri played facing the basket since he was a little kid so yeah, I guess you're right, Greg should have COMPLETELY reversed Jiri's game and mindset toward the game in just a couple of practices (sarcasm, lots of it).

Yeah, nobody on this thread is calling for his head. Just frustration carried over from the Larry fiasco and Morgan years. Signing a player with Brackins' credentials was a real positive. Otherwise, I can't say this staff has shown much yet. Getting Hubalek to play in the post last year was progress, but that lesson was apparently forgotten.

Another thing that this staff has done... Spot the unheralded yet talented Wesley Johnson.

Let's give it until January before we make such comments about McD. He said it himself in his post game interview, this team is going to take some time to learn how to play the right way. They are young.

We will suck until we get a solid backcourt... NOT one guy... BOTH guards...

Until then we will flat out be painful on offense.

Brackins is sick on O but needs a lot of work on D.
