They're showing this a lot on ESPN2 right now. Looks like it hurt.

Has anyone seen ski jumping (pro) in person. I lived in La Crosse WI for a couple years. Nearby, they used to have the annual Westby ski jump. It was really something to see if you haven't seen that sport live before. It requires nerves of steel to go down that jump. At Westby, there are some old wooden stairs that go up the slope adjacent to the jump. You can walk up those stairs while the jumpers are going by and it is amazing how steep it is and how fast they get going not to mention how far they sail. Of course, for the fans at Westby, it is all about drinking your beer before it freezes in your glove. The ski jump is just a reason to have brats and beer. Good times.

Ouch. Crashing on the bunny hill hurts enough but that looked painful.

Oh well, take two aspirins and walk it off dude.

If he could have somehow kept that other ski under him, got his free foot on it, and made the landing, he'd be enjoying god status in the ski-jumping world...

Who was that guy at the end of the video in red? He looked a bit suspicious - I'd be checking him out.

Holy cow. That would HURT. Those hills are a lot steeper in person than they look on tv. Can't believe he walked away from that.

Man that looked like my last snowboarding trip. I hit my head so hard that i was dizzy and seeing stars WITH a helmet on! Probably explains a lot in my life.

Right-tighty--lefty loosey...man did the guy let the villiage idiot do his binding?

The binding coming off was a result of him letting his tip down. The air caught it, and pulled it back until it popped off. If his binding was tighter, it would have flipped him over resulting in landing on his head and serious injury. He should be glad that thing came lose.
