Anyone who's interested please feel free to email SI to get them to fix the team webpage on the site to use the new I State logo. They've still got the old whirlybird Cy holding the ISU. I believe the correct email address is [email protected]. I would think they could have it corrected by now.:skeptical:

Edit: The email they provide does not work. Use the main page and the Contact Us link on SI.com.

my advice would be to stop visiting those pages if it bothers you.

SI.com is undergoing a complete design overhaul if you couldn't tell by how the template for the main page differs from the template for the Iowa State page (which is still the same template for the entire college football section and every other team under it). I would figure the last thing the designer is worried about at this point is the proper ISU logo to use when he's got other design issues to worry about. Wouldn't get my panties bunched until all those pages have been redesigned and they're still using the same logo.

Well as an EIU fan, I'm sure you don't. We ISU fans care enough to make sure national media use the appropriate logo's for our program. But I guess we all know why they are to busy to make the change now.

Not a hawkeye fan. ISU grad, ISU fan!!

Seriously though, it's a freaking logo. Why does it matter? Maybe if we won in something other than wrestling and women's basketball people like ESPN and SI.com would give a crap about our logo.

First, sorry for the case of mistaken identity. But apathy and malaise lead us down a path of despair. Little things like these are a reason we are not taken seriously. As Chizik says, "it's the little details we need to get better at."

Go Idaho/Indiana/Illinois/Iowa State!!!!

I have this same concern with the new logo, but for as unnoticed as ISU is among BCS schools, we are still a BCS school. Idaho State/ Indiana State/ Illinois State are not. I've come around to the conclusion that if we can't own the brand/image enough to not be confused with thsese schools nationally, that it just isn't going to happen no matter what we use for a logo, those people still won't know who we are.

I wore my "I State" shirt on a trip to Bloomington, IN and stopped in both Bloomington, IL (home of Illinois State) and Terre Haute (home of Indiana State) and in both places I had some one ask me why those schools changed their colors to cardinal and gold.
