How close are the other 7 wrestlers to getting an RPI? With all the injuries and weight changes, not sure how many are going to get to the Silver level and earn an allocation.

Reminder of what counts and what doesn't for each of the NCAA allocation criteria...

Coaches Ranking
*minimum 8 Division I matches at the designated weight
*must have at least 1 match in the previous 30 days

RPI
*minimum 15 Division I matches at the designated weight
*forfeits and MFF do not count toward the 15
*injury defaults do count

Win Pct
*minimum 8 Division I matches at the designated weight
*only matches vs Division I count toward the win pct
*forfeits and MFF do count
*matches against teammates do not count toward a wrestler's record at all, in any category

If wrestle stat is correct, Kysen is 10-1, so will need 4 matches to get an RPI. That probably won't happen, but does have a win %age that will earn him a silver level allocation.

Evan & Jacob are both fine as far as earning an allocation

Wrestler (Wt)RPI RecordMatches Needed
Terukina (125)10-14
Johnson (149)10-05
Chittum (157)11-13
Riggins (165)5-55
Gaitan (174)4-47
Bockman (184)11-31
Schon (197)9-8*TBD

*3 wins came against Bellarmine, who is currently reclassifying to Division I. If those don't count, he still needs 1 match.

I wondered about that too. This year is going to a particularly big mess outside of the Frosty's. Paniro has a win at 65 though! That should could count for TWO wins at 49, c'mon people!

I think Paniro is 10-0 at 149, so won't earn an RPI, but will have the win %age to get a silver allocation

So basically, Cody and Bockman are the only ones who can get there with 3 duals left? Feel's weird PJ has to steal one but it is what it is.

RPI, CR, and Win% are the 3 prongs for allocation.

Hit at least 2 and you earn a pre-allocation. Some people call that "silver."
Right ok. I can never keep this **** straight. What are the differences between the two ("pre-allocation")?

So Bockman will earn an RPI if he wrestles 1 more match, and that should get him a silver allocation.

Herrera is going to be borderline and probably on the outside right now. Usually need to be in the 27 area in RPI and Coaches to get the allocation

pre-allocation earns the conference a spot at nationals. If the wrestler that earned the spot doesn't place that high, he will need a wide card. Usually those guys will get a wild card, unless they are borderline and a lot of upsets occur

PJ will earn an allocation at the silver level. He will not need to steal a spot unless he loses a lot in these last 3 duals

Boy. What a year. Injuries have just been crazy, and not just with Iowa State. A ton of injuries throughout. Gonna be interesting to see how it shakes out. I would expect a lot of bid stealing.
