Maybe a little early, but I have a hard time waiting to watch this team compete.

Scuffle is our next event and I thought we could get some discussion going. Lots of good teams there. Anyone know if we’re planning on sending the starters, or what ISU’s squad will look like?

Not sure on who we are sending, but guessing we for sure won't see Kysen, Casey, or Schuyler out or precaution. I would also be surprised if we see David, Marcus, or Yonger. Can freshmen compete unattached now? If so, I'd love to see Perryman, Gaitan, Manny, and Schon there. Starters I am guessing we see will be Cabanban, Ramazan, Kraisser/Judge, Broderson/Devine. Wouldn't be surprised to see Paniro there either to get him used to a tournament feel.

I saw that we're also sending guys to the Soldier Salute and Midlands. If that's the case I'm not sure where our starters go but that's three separate tournaments in a 5 day span

I'm going to say that if I had to guess, and with my limited insight into the program, that if you want to see the starters go again, then you need to buy a ticket or purchase ESPN+ for the Wyoming and ASU weekend.

At least that's what buf and stu told me.

But buy the ticket if you're in Iowa. Let's fill Hilton. This is what we've all been waiting for!

For context:
Of the 16 duals in Hilton history with 10K+, only 1 wasn't against Iowa -- and that was in the building's first year (1971-72). #1 ISU vs #4 OSU.
Precedence has been established. At least we don’t have to break new ground to get over 10k. ;) Too bad students will still be on break. I think this is a team they can get behind and have some fun.

The Scuffle is the only one on the "official" schedule, which means that'll be the one with the most attached wrestlers competing.

I could see something like this:
Scuffle - starters
Midlands - backups (max of 6 attached)
Coralville - reserves/freshmen/redshirts (most unattached)

Based on the websites of each event, there will be several split-squads:

Binghamton - Midlands, Scuffle
Bucknell - Midlands, Scuffle
Hofstra - Midlands, Scuffle
Iowa - Midlands, Coralville
Iowa State - Midlands, Coralville, Scuffle
Minnesota - Coralville, Scuffle
Northern Iowa - Midlands, Coralville
South Dakota State - Midlands, Coralville
Virginia - Midlands, Scuffle
Wisconsin - Midlands, Coralville

This thread is making me...sad. I have not been able to attend a live Cyclone event since forever. I have made trips in the past to Virginia locations in Richmond, Blacksburg, Charlottesville, and to New Jersey. But I am close to Chattanooga now and plan to attend this event. Thinking that the team is split is a bit disappointing , but I will attend anyway. I was hoping that UVA would be there, but they are not scheduled. I am trying to put a positive spin on this. My top 5 reasons for attending:
5.) I get to see some live wrestling,
4.) I get to see some Cyclones wrestling live,
3.) I may be able to mix it up with other wrestling fans, especially Cyclones,
2.) I may see some of the other up and coming talent on the team, and
1.) My wife and kids won't be shushing me for yelling at the computer/TV screen. (This goes for football as well!)

If any of you are attending the Scuffle - hope to see you there.

When is the Coralville event? Might actually be able to attend that one.

I'm still probably going to head down to the scuffle and watch some wrestling. Going to check the weather Thursday and make a decision. I hope to know by then who if any Cyclones are going.

Sounds like it will be a combination of starters and non starters. I assume getting healthy is most important, so don't plan on starters at 125, 141, and 285
