Chalk this up to a dumb mistake. Really dumb.

Judging by talking to people who know him fairly well, he seems like a good guy. Except for the whole hok thing.

If on purpose, then it is not a mistake. Players are told over and over to get EVERYTHING cleared through the team doc. Even "nice" guys dope.

My brother knows Sash well since my brother went to William Penn and Sash was always around...and from what I have heard this doesn't surprise me. From what I hear he abuses other pills.

We believe you. :jimlad:

Are bath salts on the list? I'm sure he was lined up for a number of speaking engagements during that time. :)

Yep. I am from Osky originally, very close connections to his family and friends and this is not too surprising. I don't buy the anxiety thing at all. You get drafted to the #1 media market in the US if not the world, deal with super bowl media days, play in front of millions of people in the super bowl, do media after the super bowl, and a month after all this you then develop anxiety for public speaking?

3 years at Iowa this never came up? A full NFL season and this never comes up to address with the team dr? A month after the super bowl and suddenly he has anxiety issues, and he never bothered to clear it with his team dr's, plus loses his appeal with the NFL on it?

Either he wasn't taking what he claims he was taking (and honestly, we only have his statement to work from, the NFL doesn't talk, and when was the last time a juicer told the truth) or he just is an idiot that didn't clear something important with the team dr. Take your pick. Just because you do a lot for others doesn't mean you aren't a juicer, it just means others are more likely to enable you.

At IA-ISU game I sat next to the parents of one of his high school teammates when Sash was a freshman. The guy said "It will be a miracle if Tyler makes it through 4 years at Iowa without a suspension."

I guess he was close, but still wrong.

Robert Gallery was a big "Adderall" user, too.

Giants Safety Tyler Sash has been suspended four games due to his use of Adderall. He says he used it for anxiety issues and didn't realize it was on the performance enhancing drug list.

I don't have a link currently but it's all over twitter.

Apparently his U of I "education" didn't prepare him for the reality that he no longer has Kirky to cover up his drug use.

I don't see why this is a big deal. He made a stupid mistake, big deal. Move on.

It's a big deal because he's a punk. He often says the highlight or "best memory" of his Iowa career was never losing to Iowa State. But he was on Iowa's team in 2007, so he did. Since he didn't actually play in that game, he doesn't count it. Good sense of team there, Tyler!

Exactly. Not only does he use PEDs, but he tries to say it was for anxiety?? What an idiot. I'm sure once he starts abusing Oxy (if he doesn't already) he's going to say it was for his narcolepsy.

Yeah but you cannot label him as a steroid user. If he is indeed lying and used real performance enhancing drugs (roids), then you can ridicule him all you want. But right now you're playing this guilty-till-we-find-out-what-happens game and that's not fair. You are really playing into the anti hawk, clone fan stereotype. Bashing Iowa or an ex Iowa player at any/every opportunity. It's borderline slanderous for you to say and imply that
