Heard Blum and CW mention on the podcast that Plaza RV rents out RVs with dropoff and pickup. Curious if others also rent their RVs or have done this before. Was it expensive to do? Cheaper to tow it there yourself? Seems like an intriguing idea.

Don't know the exact costs, but people who have done it rave about it. It is most certainly cheaper to tow your own, if you already have an RV. I think it works best for people who aren't inclined to do it for themselves. Like Blum!

We used RVShare a few years ago for the Country Stampede in Topeka. It worked great. Think RV version of AirBnB. The guy pulled it into our spot then was there to pick it up the morning we left.

Got a quote from Plaza the other day. $600 (bumper hitch) or a $1000 (5th wheel) for the weekend. Doesn’t include the rv spot. Apparently they have a few rv spots themselves but they were already spoken for for most of the games.

Look for gently used RV’s from burning man.

A week from now you'll be able to drive in and out of there with no problem would be my guess. Saw a picture from there with a Jeep buried deep, that one is either going to take a lot of labor or a healthy towing bill.

My FIL is considering renting an RV for the Texas game, what's the going rate for an RV pass in November? If anyone has a pass available for that game please shoot me a message.

I have been renting my camper for about 5 or so years now and have paid for my camper and storage fees year in and year out. Once you build up a good clientele it is not bad.

One word of advice that I got from someone, that I will always pass on is don't be the cheapest. If you are the cheapest you will get people that don't care about your stuff and won't take care of it. If anyone has further questions on how I do it feel free to ask.

Also, as mentioned above, there are sites like RV Share and Outdoorsy where you can rent RV's or put your RV on to rent. I do it all myself.

Do you have anything available for the Baylor game?

We try to make 1 make a year and when we do, we rent an RV/Camper from RV Share.

Fly in from Arizona on Thursday, have the Camper/RV dropped off on Friday afternoon, have a great Friday night and football Saturday, Camper/RV owner picks it up Sunday morning, we fly back home.

Makes it extremely easy and fun.
