Yeah, it is a little easy to look at our record and be a little disappointed, but a lot of our record can be directly attributed to a tougher than probably expected schedule. When we lost to Marquette, Virginia and Iowa, I really thought those were bad losses, but they sure aren't looking so bad now. With that said, of all the sports I know of in the NCAA where records really don't matter, it is volleyball. In volleyball, RPI is king when it comes to determining who makes the tourney and seeding in the tourney. Never seen another sport rely on RPI so heavily as volleyball, which is also why you see CJL talk about RPI so much more than any other ISU coach. Consequently, I imagine this is why top volleyball teams play such tough OOC schedules compared to other sports.
