We've obviously had troubles in the little apple over the past few years. Heck, you go into the state of Kansas period and you have all sorts of Bermuda triangle type occurrences that tilt the games to our opponent.

Last time out ISU came out strong and then withered in the second half due to the physical nature of KSU's play. The ladies held on to win in Hilton. This time around its away and we are down one guard (Buckley). Our point guard just came off her worst game of the year (mysteriously after having perhaps her best) so we have no idea if the Moody of the North or the West is going to show up. Teams are doubling on Williamson and her scoring has dropped off dramatically in Big 12 play (one game exception). So what happens? Do the ladies bounce back or does KSU come out and put us in a hole right away?

No idea. We have enough talent to win this game but we aren't playing consistent enough for me to predict a win.

Wondering if/when we might see Buckley again this year. Foot stress fractures, stress injuries, forefoot strain; whatever they choose to call it, pretty much sucks (based on my maybe totally irrelevant personal experience).

Man, big chance to get control of the game right before half, and instead we throw it away and give up run outs! We could be up 10 instead of 2. Bill will not be happy with Moody.

Flipping back and forth with the men's game. They did a heck of a job. Now let's have a complete sweep!!!

I turned to MBB but watched the recording of WBB. Baier didn't have a lot of points, but I thought she played good D and I like the impact of she and Ellis in the game at the same time - it seemed to be an effective combination.

A medical red shirt for Jadda might not happen - we might need her this season to make the tournament, and she might not be interested in a fifth year. We'll see.

A medical redshirt for Jadda might be the best thing in the big picture. If she comes back by the end of the season, she could have a hard time playing at the level she and others expect. In that sense, it might not be as big of a boost to the success of the team and she would have spent a year without much time on the court. Kidd has been a nice surprise in her place, shooting pretty well, improving her ball handling, and probably being more consistent than most others on the team in recent games. Without Jadda, tell Nikki she needs to bring it every game. Have Kidd get better and better. And keep developing Emily and Nakia. It could work. Also, doesn't hurt to spend a fifth year as a graduate student.

I agree with cydney. I wouldn't write this season off, but realistically the team will only go as far as the seniors take it with or without Jadda. Getting the extra year would bode well for the future knowing she would be back for three more.

The K-State announcers on the Fox broadcast were very complimentary of Nikki at the end of the game. They said she is on some of the watch lists for player of the year? Has anyone see her on such a list? If she could play consistently and the team does well enough, maybe there would be some accolades for her.

Her inconsistent play will probably keep her from getting some awards that she otherwise should be a part of. Its sad that she could have gone down in history as the best point guard in ISU history. Because of her attitude and inconsistency she'll always be on the outside looking in.
