Ah, that would make sense. Although if the formula allows major metro areas to pay more than places like Iowa, I’m not sure it’s going to be a good outcome. I can see how it makes the job of the NIL Go committee easier though.

If you read the screenshot in the twitter quote it says the formula will be based on factors like the size of the media market and the popularity of the university. But then you have to ask is the pay for play in those cases really based on NIL or is it the athlete piggy backing on the association with the name of the university and geography of the university.
