Alright Fanatics, I need your help.

I'm looking to roof my house in the next couple of months. I need some solid recommendations. I have a bid from one roofing company that seems outrageous (I won't name them as I don't want to offend). My father and I are getting bids and his house is 4 times the surface area as mine and above company bid my home at the SAME price as him. Needless to say, we didn't go with them. I'm needing an honest, reliable, insured company.

Finders fee = brews and brats at first home game...

I see Hendrick trucks all over, all the time. Was that the pricey one?

I did our roof last summer myself. I used Ondura that they sell at Menards, it was easy to put on, looks good (goes with the log cabin look our house has) and so far we have had no problems.

Try Hedberg and Son Roofing, 515-265-0616 Ask for Eric Hedberg.

I use them for both commercial property as well as residential.

Not the cheapest, but they will work with you on pricing and the follow up is very good.

There are a lot of factors that can affect the price besides sq ft. Dormers, pitch, tearing off, etc.

We have used Geisinger Construction (Ames) and Bolt (DSM) as Sub Contractors. They have both done excellent jobs. Remember, you get what you pay for. The cheapest contractor is not always the best. Get references (with in the last year) and call them up.

We had our roof replaced last year. Right Roofing did a fantastic job. Very clean, had everything completed by end of day.

They were recommended to us by a co-worker. I was very happy with the work/service.
