Wanted to share this positive NIL story. Rocco used a portion of his NIL earnings to donate entertainment systems to all the pediatric rooms at Mary Greeley in Ames. Your support is also doing a lot of cool things like this that doesn't get the same media coverage.

This is why we should feel good about giving to Iowa State NIL. Rocco obviously comes from some privilege, but the amount of money his donated to this state is so impressive. He’s easily on the Tyrese and Georges trajectory.

Sort of a tradition. Naz Long donated Xboxes to the Peds wing, several years ago, making sure that every room had one. Prior to that, Harrison Barnes did something similar. Good to hear that they are keeping it going.

I’ve told this story before, but since it’s the off season and we’re loving on Rocco:

Several years ago, the summer after the Dekkers debacle season and before the gambling stuff really got going and public, I took little JM to the ISU kids camp they hold on the practice field run by the players. Rocco was running a sprint and route station in which he timed kids and threw them passes. It was before anyone really knew “Rocco was Rocco”. Anyway my son’s group moved to his station he was in charge of and one of the 2nd graders in his group runs up to Rocco and says “I hope you start next year! Dekkers sucks! You have to better than that guy!” Rocco legit started laughing then tried to be serious and says “get back in line!” while not able to stop smiling.

At that moment, I knew he was special. Lol

I think you meant to say Knoxville, TN? Or, Tampa Bay, FL?

C'mon Blum.

Love Rocco. And Tennessee fans are my new least favorite fanbase. Absolutely the worst. They have been insufferable on social media the last week. They can get bent.

I'm truly touched by that wonderful gesture. Super proud he's a Cyclone.
