One guy that was outstanding from that era was Nick Bochwinkel

Really sold the audience that he was the champion and he didn't have to yell about it. Guy looked like a middle aged pro-bowler but he had a style

Even beat Hulk Hogan before he jumped to the WWF....made it look almost believable too

Seems like Nick was always taking out Verne Gagne, but my favorite was Baron Von Raschke and the dreaded claw! How did Mean Gene do these interviews without a towel?

The Ultimate Warrior will always be my favorite followed by Brutus the Barber Beefcake, Jake the Snake Roberts and the Rockers (Marty Ginetti and Shawn Michaels).

But he apparently was pretty susceptible to a roll of dimes.

After they performed at Vets many years ago they all went over to BJ's Hitching Post (Strip bar in Des Moines) The bartender said they were no where as big as he thought they would be. I remember he said Jake the Snake was one that came in that night.

I met a whole bunch on them in the Huntsville, AL airport when I was flying back to IA from Space Camp (6th grade). It was cool since I was really big into WWF at that time.

Dropped off a rental car when WCW was doing a show. The guys were there.

Talked to Chris Benoit. He wasn't too friendly. But weird to know that he turned into a murderer not too many years after that
