While it's not Megathread, the rapid rate of posting, numerous "inside sources", and general panic coupled with bargaining and ppl convincing themselves the hire will be the best/worst/let me mayor makes this one of the all time greats! Still behind Megathread, but up there with Tuff as Rain Tigers and sending Cyber to the airport. The watching the erection (N end zone video board) is probably just behind this one now.

I’ll agree with you in that the long threads of people trying to break down why taking TJ is such a home run is annoying. He’s not a home run hire, but that doesn’t mean we won’t look back and think our opinions looked dumb at the time. Lol
If TJ ends up our coach, I’ll root like hell for him and the players he brings in. And if he brings in players like he did when he was here as an assistant and gets the most out of the talent they have, I think we’ll be in good shape. I really do think that he can be successful here.
And again I’ll reiterate that I don’t agree with how any of this has gone down. It’s weird and a bit embarrassing, but in a few months it won’t matter. I also know that there will be those who take longer to warm up to him and those who may never warm up to him, and that’s okay it’s your opinion.
We’ll know rather soon whether this is another case in which Jamie valued the wrong things and acted like he’s the AD of a D3 school, or if covered the topics needed to hire a candidate like TJ. If you hire TJ without first striking out many times, and are anywhere close to competent as an AD, you’ve been led to believe he’s bringing some talent from UNLV, keeping Hunter and Nunn, retaining the good parts of the roster, and hiring one of the best staff’s in the conference. We won’t need to wait long.
I feel like SnowCraig surviving leaving the kids at school deserves mention as well as a top thread.
