Essentially, we have a tendency to treat our pets better than we treat our fellow humans in need. Yeah, I'm guilty of that, but trying to be better.

All I got is Gillette razors and two guys in a goalie uniform for pert shampoo. The naughty dating site doesn't hit until after supper.

It's not weird if you consider that according to the church teaching, we're responsible for our fellow humans' well being with or without choosing them.

This may have been the weirdest weekend catch-up that didn't involve Rum Brooklyn. Given GTO and Pants' penchant for horror movies, y'all are pretty trusting being in the same house together with them. I'm envisioning a Scream/Saw mashup.

Train had the right idea taking the penthouse. I'll be chilling in the guest house with a full bar and man cave. Velo, you're welcome to stay. Neither of us is around long enough to get in each other's way anyway.

Thanks, I did shorten a few names on my signature line so that I could add Woo and cycloneG. I got kind of busy after our room assignments, but will finish out assigning the rest of the crew shortly and let you know about the game we'll play with that info afterwards.

She was horrified that I don't own ANY diamonds, by choice. I don't like them, I don't like how they are obtained & distributed - they're overpriced hunks of carbon, IMO. And yes, I told her my opinion (I had had quite enough of her condescension at that point). Turns out hubby made their dough in the diamond business.

I feel bad for the dog having to share with BDK. They can take in BDK and deal with the little pieces of bud lying around all over the place and Doritos crumbs or they can live in the shack.

I work with a woman that can watch a movie where people are getting killed left and right. If they kick a dog at some point she'll start bawling.

Spent my one week off classes last week watching the Godfather Epic on HBO. Does anyone else have an obsession with Godfather I & II. By far my favorite movies.

Just saw a story about a newborn bison in Yellowstone that had to be euthanized. Apparently some tourists thought he looked cold so they somehow got him and put him in their SUV to warm up. Obviously he doesn't know how to hunt or care for himself and was now separated from his mom so he probably was not going to live anyway.

I'm pretty mild-mannered, but I have no problems putting these type of people in their place. For some people, their net worth acts like an exponent for their ******* meter.

We are not wealthy by any means, but we do enjoy the cruising. We no longer eat in the formal dining rooms though. I'm not into wasting 2 hours on tiny portions of over-rich foods. We like the variety of the multi-cultural buffets in the Windjammers.

One other thing we avoid (after our first one) - the Captain's welcome cocktail party. We've cruised enough with RC to be on their "preferred customer" ladder (more cruises with them = more onboard perks)...we went to one party, and that was enough. I don't do rich ***** well. Hell, I don't do it at all. I'd rather go to a kegger than a cocktail party.

They euthanized it? I saw the earlier story; based on the size, the calf was probably still needing to nurse. But geesh -they couldn't take it to a rescue?
