Well, that probably is the most action I’ve had from a female in awhile.
And to reiterate. The dental hygienist was the one shooting water at me not the dentist. My dentist’s husband is on this board on occasion so I need to make that clear.
This day can **** right off. First I have a dental cleaning and my dentist office which has gone under many changes since pandemic including no one left from previous office.
I do have bad buildup but because of that I go every 4 months. The hygienist claims I need a deep clean which will require numbing and a couple visits with an estimated total of over 1,300.
I internally said screw that and switched to a dentist in Nevada instead of Ames where a couple of people from the previous office I left now work.
Took into the new dentist the new patient form and came back out and can't get my vehicle to shift out of park.
So no clean teeth and now no vehicle. FML!

Turn it off and yank on the steering wheel. My wife would turn off her vehicle while still parking at times and I learned the steering wheel trick.

New one today. Went to pay a bill online, was declined.
Investigated some more. Site didn't autofill my card's expiration date, and put the current month instead.
Better than Rulzz' day, for sure, but kinda weird.

Due to a fire at the power plant, the university is experiencing disruptions to the cooling system on campus.
As a result, classes that can, will move online for the remainder of Thursday, Aug. 24 and all day Friday, Aug. 25. Students should check email and Canvas for information from their instructors. Veterinary Medicine classes are NOT canceled as it is not impacted by the cooling system.
Students living on campus, who have the ability to go home for the weekend, are encouraged to do so. University leaders are working on ways to assist students who need to stay on campus.
All activities for Thursday, Aug. 24 are canceled. Employees should work with their supervisors to make arrangements.

Found a video hack which worked so at least have a vehicle. Although this and other things are trying to show me a sign this vehicle is off to car lot in the sky.
Make sure you give it the proper services. Regardless of what my wife says cars and shoes deserve a memorial service.

Been listening to that Taylor Swift lyric for a couple of years on the radio now and always thought the guy whining about not knowing and her reply of "I gave so many signs" just rang so true. Guys can be so damn dumb about these things. And confirmed today as a couple of friends hit the skids and he is sort of blindsided (cause guy).

It's the unspoken things imo that make the difference in these situations but perhaps it's because neither party knew how to say what they needed to.
Since her competency seems questionable I hope she is at least hot.
I do my own oil changes, but buy my tires from a local tire shop so my tire rotations are free. I just have them rotate them on every oil change. Works for me.

Damn talking to Wi friend and his son's FB team played last wk already won 36-0. They will have 3 games played before school starts.
All because they expanded the playoffs I guess. That way more marginal teams get to put FB playoff qualifier on the sign outside of the school. IMO.

A little on edge this morning now. Railroad has had a lot of maintenance of way machinery working in the area this week, and they don't activate the signals so the railroad has people with stop signs guarding the crossings.
On my way to work, equipment is coming through and the guy is holding the stop sign, so I stop. Then one of the equipment operators is waving me through, but the guy with the sign doesn't see him. I try to point at him saying the other guy is waving me through, and I start to go. Idiot jumps in front of my car so I hit the brakes and throw my hands up trying to point out the other guy is waving me through. A little more coordination would be nice there.
