Funny to hear him say that he wants people to think of him as a good person. Definitely not what I thought of him a few years ago! It is fascinating to see him join us and watch my perspective of him change. This article helped a lot.
Ditto. I did think he was a jerk at Iowa. Being around the Brands twins probably does that to you.

When I first started covering the sport I was very intimidated because of the way he came off during his time as a wrestler and at Iowa. Getting to know him, specifically this year, yeah definitely not what I expected. He's literally so funny and easygoing. I would've never expected that right away.

Honestly never thought he was a bad guy back in the day. Intense and extremely focused? Yes. Bad guy? Really...no.
He was definitely an ass while he was wrestling for Iowa. He's grown and matured and isn't that guy anymore but he earned his reputation back then.
