You probably wouldn't have any links would you Buf? That mentality seems so dated, think we everyone agreed we needed to change the mentality of the program. Shouldn't matter the background of the person in the end if they represent the university and wrestling program successfully.

You gotta remember that Zaddick and Metcalf were two of the most "Iowa Wrestling Guys" possible. Metcalf has mellowed out and Zaddick got run off. But short of hiring an actual Brands brother it was as far as you could go. It'd be like if Niang got hired to coach basketball at Iowa.

I told my nephews when KD was hired he would have us back in Top 10 in 3 years, Top 5 in 5. He pulls off a couple of upsets next week, he will be a year ahead of schedule. I remember when I was a kid (I'm 38) our youth wrestling program went to quite a few ISU meets and you couldn't find a seat in Hilton. Even when I was in high school the place was packed. I hope fans really turn out for the Mizzou dual. Got to get Hilton rocking again! Got my tickets for the battle in West Gym and hoping to knock off UNI as well!! Great article BTW!!

You're good. Not Rob Gray good, but you're good.

Seriously, I like your style because of the way your questions set up Dresser to say things he probably wouldn't say in ordinary contexts, like press conferences. And you let it be long. Too often, these sorts of interviews don't go deep enough because they are too short.

Dresser and I spent 30 minutes together so I wasn’t leaving there without a good amount of stuff! Hahaha
