My MIL got us some pig corn holders for a gift once.

I'd sooner stick them directly into my eye than be seen using them.
In short, you won this round.

For me, it's a matter of family competitions to leave the "cleanest ear" behind after consuming all the kernels. One row at a time, plucked off with the bottom teeth.I've got bit of disordered eating in my history. One way I overcome binges is by eating slowly, and this is just one of the tricks in my bag.
You're really not as funny as you think you are.I'm like you but I binge as hard as I can then throw up. Saves the calories AND I get the satisfaction of being ashamed of myself.![]()
I'm all for the holders. Like others have said, they keep you from burning your fingers. So, little holders on the end or not?

What kind of psychopath cuts the corn off?
Some people think you just eat the cob and all

Whatever you do in the privacy of your own home is up to you, but color me concerned over your use of corn in bed.
I do this too. I find it comforting, like mowing the lawn. Also, I don't put butter or salt on my corn.I really thought this was going to be the whole row vs column debate. For the record, I like to do a circular 'column' on each end, and then typewriter row the rest.
We do cut corn off the cob in our house, but it's before freezing. Even our 1-yr old now prefers to eat off the cob.
I have no hate for the people that cut corn off the cob but I do think they're completely psycho.I eat it off the cob but have no hate for the cutters. It tastes the same.

I know. At least I eat it off the cob, unlike those other 9 weirdos.Thats just blasphemy!
And the creeper would say, "She's going to change her underwear whether I'm hiding in this bush watching her anyway".It’s the same corn though. It doesn’t alter the taste or nutrition in any way.
